Meeting 11/19
This was our final meeting before Bellarmine competition. We have finalized our robot and have tested the programming. We were falling behind as the due date approached and we had a lot of programming issues and what not, but we managed to pull through in the end. We started to communicate more with eachother and cooperate more so we didn't have any mishaps/arguments. We also made sure that everyone had a job so that no one was left out of the building process.
Final product:
8 motors
-4 high speed
knobby wheel shooter
-high powered gearing
<-- mounted our pitching machine to our chassis. At a slight angle to be able to shoot into atlas the low goal
We decided that we didn't have enough time to build/finish the intake (collecting mechanism) So our robot will be hand-fed.
Autonomous was also not yet completed though it was not a top priority.

Meeting 11/5-
Status: Completed not yet tested-due to computer problems
<---gearing
<--- knobby wheels
We have been continuously changing our gear ratio and motors from regular to high speed. Meconam to knobby wheels. We need to settle in on a final design by next week and finalize it before the competition.
<-----aluminum, mecanom wheels
gearing/motoring 18:36 gear ratio
gearing/motoring 18:36 gear ratio
Chasis:
Status: Base almost
completed,
still needs motor/gearing
Our Takeaway: We have finally finished the pitching machine, but it is still quiet troublesome to get the programming to work.
Chasis is still a work in progress. We've been having many miscommunications because we weren't really talking to eachother, everyone was working solo. Some of us weren't doing as much as others so we need to evenly distribute workload/ responsibilities.
Goal for next meeting: Test pitching machine, finish Chasis' base and maybe programming. Be better at communicating with eachother and include everyone.
Upcoming Events: 4 more meetings before Bellarmine Competition (extra meetings needed)

Blog Post #1
Hi! Welcome to the official blog of VEX robotics competition team, Space cookies Team1868A. We are a group of five middle school girls from the bay area. Our mission is to build a robot that has a shooting mechanism and is able to launch VEX balls into the net. Our vision for the future is that this prototype may potentially be an interactive robot that can play with people.

Pitching Machine: completed not yet tested
-motor-powered
-gearing
-knobby-wheels
Improvements:
-single motor
-different gearing set up
Our Takeaway: We need to build a stronger pitching machine. We need better team cooperation and organization. We need to pick up the pace since our next competition is in a month.
